Early Ground Farm in Detroit, Maine is Brandon and Hanna's leap of faith: they moved about 350 miles from their hometown with their son to start the small family farm they'd both wanted since childhood.

Pigs are born right on the farm and raised on pasture and in the woods along with chickens, turkeys, and ducks; there are horses and a family milk cow named Sprout. The farm stand sells pastured pork by the cut or as whole and half hogs, pastured poultry, chicken and duck eggs, holiday turkeys, seedlings, fresh vegetables and herbs, homemade lard soap, fall pumpkins, and doughnuts.
