About the Farm

Emily Selinger grew up in Freeport, spent years as a professional mariner and licensed captain aboard schooners, and came home to Casco Bay in 2016 to fish for lobster and set the first anchors for her own sea farm. Emily's Oysters, founded in 2018, is a small-scale, woman-owned and run operation.

She grows her oysters in the Freeport waters of Casco Bay using nursery boxes and grow-out bags, grading and spreading the crop to prevent overcrowding. A year-round CSA offers market pickup and home pickup in Bath, and her oysters keep refrigerated for up to seven days.
