About the Farm

Estes Blueberry Farm in Buxton was founded in 1954 by Carl and Lorraine Estes, both Gorham schoolteachers, and is now run by second-generation owners Don and Gwen Estes with occasional help from the grandchildren.

More than 2,000 highbush blueberry bushes in two varieties ripen from mid-July to late August, all pick-your-own. The farm keeps it simple: 6-pound picking pails provided, berries $4.75 a pound.
