Harris Turkey Farm raises its birds the patient way. Day-old poults arrive from certified disease-free hatcheries and spend their first weeks in a turkey nursery before moving to a large outdoor fenced pasture.
Out there, green grass and lush vegetation give the young turkeys shade and cover while they grow, and as the season goes on the flock works its way through the pasture itself. The result is a genuinely pasture-raised Maine turkey.
