Produce
Intervale Farm in Cherryfield is Jenny and Hugh Lassen's seven acres of organic wild blueberries, cultivated since 2005 and certified organic by MOFGA since 2008 and the Real Organic Project since 2020.
The harvest is done the careful way: berries raked by hand into field boxes, run through an electric winnower, and sorted into pints, quarts, and freezer boxes. About half the crop sells fresh from the farm, at farmers' markets, and in local groceries; the rest is frozen for year-round sale or cooked into their blueberry fruit spread.
