JB Farm in Chesterville is a full-circle story: Tyler and Carrie Jenness married on the farm in 2016 when it still belonged to Carrie's grandparents, moved in that December, and bought the old Butterfield family dairy themselves in 2017.
They raise registered Hereford and Belted Galloway cattle, pigs, chickens, and turkeys, tap roughly 500 maples (121.5 gallons of syrup in 2023), and put up their own hay for winter. The farm store, open weekends 8 to 1, sells their meats, canned goods, maple products, and baked goods, and the cattle still make the rounds at local fairs.
