About the Farm

Mark and Sarah Lutte both grew up in midcoast Maine, moved away for college and work, and came back in 2009 to a Farmingdale property where an old sign revealed the place was once called "Lay Z Acres." They kept the spirit of the name, restored the farm, and Lazy Acres was born. Sarah works the farm most days while Mark tackles projects in his free time.

They grow over 50 varieties of garden flowers, run a bouquet CSA, and stock an on-farm stand with fresh and dried flowers and gifts. The farm also raises pastured pork and free-ranging laying hens, with fresh eggs spring through fall and broiler chickens now and then.
