About the Farm
Sean Murphy and Anna Mueller met working on a Massachusetts apple orchard, started Murphy Family Farm in 2013, and opened Orchard View Farm Market in Thorndike in 2025.
As much as possible of the market's vegetables, fruit, and flowers comes from their own fields in Freedom and Thorndike, with the gaps filled by neighboring farms and Maine producers. The farm has never used sprays of any kind or plastic mulch, and they've worked to strip single-use plastic out of production altogether.
