Snell Family Farm in Buxton dates to 1926, when Henry Snell first moved to the property. John Snell Jr. and Ramona Anderson expanded the vegetables and greenhouses after marrying in 1975, the CSA launched in 1998, pick-your-own raspberries followed in 2005, and Carolyn Snell now runs a cut-flower business that has designed for weddings and events since 2010. Greenhouse Number One from the early expansion still stands.

The farm sells vegetables, fruit, flowers, plants, and ornamentals at its Buxton stand and the Portland Farmers' Market. CSA members prepay and get a 10% bonus in account credit, pick-your-own covers apples and raspberries, and a Winter Store keeps potatoes, cabbage, carrots, beets, squash, apples, and cider coming through the cold months.
