About the Farm
Stone Farm in Arundel proves you don't need acreage to farm well: about a quarter acre of the former Davis Farm, named for owner Mike's great-grandfather, Murray Stone. Mike grew up in southwest New York, studied biology at St. Michael's College, worked at Blackrock Farm, and still works part-time in nursing at Maine Medical Center.
The farm grows organic carrots, beets, turnips, greens, herbs, squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach, chard, and broccoli, sold through an honor-system roadside stand at 726 Limerick Road, an online store, and an a-la-carte CSA with Thursday afternoon pickups.
