About the Farm
Sweet Season Farm sits on 100 acres in Washington, in Knox County halfway between Augusta and the Camden-Rockland coast. The family bought the property in 1987 and planted their first 500 blueberry bushes for commercial production in 2003.
U-pick blueberries are the main draw, with some crops you won't find many other places: haskap (honeyberries), highland cranberries, and bush cherries. The farm store, opened in 2013, sells pre-picked berries, baked goods, homemade jams, jellies, and pickles, and other Maine-made products. The farm isn't certified organic but follows organic principles throughout.
