Mushrooms
The Fungi Farm, growing as MMM'Shrooms in Lagrange, is run by Magan M. Mishio, who spent nearly a decade teaching high school biology before turning that science background loose on gourmet mushrooms. She's a member of the Maine Mycological Association.
Fresh specialty varieties grow in a controlled environment on locally produced organic grow bags and hand-mixed pasteurized hardwood substrate. Beyond fresh mushrooms there are powders, seasonings, and soups made under the town's Food Sovereignty Law, plus spent-substrate compost for gardeners, all picked up in Lagrange.
