The Lone Pine Farm carries a name that goes back to Farren's great-great-grandfather, who gave it to his farm in Monson, and the family still farms about half an acre of that very land. Farren is a full-time mental health professional who also runs the planting, the market table, the farm stand, and the social media; her dad Pete and husband Brian handle the building and machine work. Her grandparents ran Kathy's Place farm stand on the Dover/Guilford line for over 20 years and still weigh in with advice.
The specialties are worth the trip: baby vegetables, miniature versions of familiar produce, along with sugar snap peas and hand-dug red potatoes, plus herbs, with flowers and fruit on the way.
