About the Farm

Tilth & Timber farms 1.5 acres within Beech Hill, a historic farmstead in Castine, where founders Troy and Cindy Dickens run a small-scale diversified operation as partners in every sense.

They grow vegetables and herbs for CSA members and local markets, hand-carve woodenware, and make natural herbal care products. The farm isn't certified organic but holds itself to a no-spray, zero-pesticide standard, skipping synthetic fertilizers in favor of soil health, quality compost, and no-till methods wherever possible.
