White's Farm in Shapleigh was founded in 1947 by brothers Norman and Carl White, grew into a dairy plus 100 acres of sweet corn and vegetables, and weathered the industry's changes through the late-1980s dairy buy-out. The fifth generation is now growing up on the property.
Today the farm runs over 80 head of beef cattle: Hereford, Black Angus, and Blonde d'Aquitaine, fed only grass and baleage harvested from the farm's own fields, grazing with access to two ponds. Chickens and fresh eggs round out the offerings.
