Maple Syrup
Dairy
Bacon Farm Maple Products has been making syrup on the same Sidney land since 1881, when Henry Otis Bacon founded it as a dairy and market farm that boiled sap every spring. Six generations later, Kevin and Shelley Bacon run it with their son Nathan at the corner of Route 23 and the Goodhue Road.
Each season they check miles of tubing in the woods, tap over 3,500 trees, and boil and bottle everything themselves. The lineup includes maple syrup, maple sugar, maple sugar candy, maple-coated nuts, and a whiskey barrel-aged syrup worth seeking out, all available year round.
