Goss Berry Farm started in 1988 when Sharon and Walter planted their first blueberry and raspberry bushes in Mechanic Falls. The first berries sold from a picnic table on the honor system; the picnic table gave way to a small shed under a big maple as the plantings grew, and they've added more raspberries and blueberries nearly every year since.
Today the farm offers pick-your-own summer and fall raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and peaches, plus pumpkins and cut flowers in season, and runs a small wholesale business supplying local farm stands.
