Pine Tree Poultry in New Sharon is the Henderson family's answer to industrial chicken. They raise beef, chicken, pork, and turkey themselves, care for the birds daily from day-old chicks, and process poultry in their own on-farm facility, an unusually complete farm-to-freezer chain.

The animals are free range, housed in large airy barns and pastured, with no antibiotics or hormones and an all-vegetarian grain ration. Value-added products come out of their own kitchen with their own ingredient mixes, and the year-round farm store at 209 Mile Hill Road sells it all.
